Bathurst - Leonard Haché, 78, of Basin St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (June 2, 2013) at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Maurice and Louise (Legacy) Haché.

He served with the Canadian Army Reserves and was a heavy equipment operator for most of his life.

Besides his wife, Eleonore (Hudon) Haché, he is survived by seven children:  Gail Boucher (Clayton) of Big River, Teddy Haché of Bathurst, Marilyn Haché (Etienne Mallet) of Strathmore, Alts., Cheryl Jean (Daniel) of Robertville, Perry Haché (Dawn Moyer) of Bathurst, Steven Haché of Montreal, Que. and Virginia Haché (Ron Roy) of Bentley, Alta.

One brother, Herbert Haché (Evangeline) of Middle River and one sister, Eva Savoie of Sudbury, Ont.

21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a grandson, Derek; three brothers: William, Léo, Edmund; two sisters: Sarah and Geraldine.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. 

A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (June 5, 2013) at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Leonard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.
