Bathurst - Hyacinthe Duguay, 88, of the Villa Chaleur, Bathurst, and formerly of Allardville, died Saturday at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Petit Lameque, he was the son of the late Hyacithe and Pelaggie (Noel) Duguay.
He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and overseas. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
He worked for the Province of New Brunswick, manning Fire Towers in the area.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was pre-deceased by a son, Ronald Théo and 2 daughters, Adrienne and Jeanne D'Arc.
The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (July 16, 2003) at 4:00 p.m. from Christ the King Church (Eglise Christ-Roi), Allardville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A Legion service will be held on Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home.
