Mrs. Ella Doucet, 88, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Rough Waters passed away on Thursday, July 11th, 2013 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Eldon Boucher and the late Loretta (Young) Boucher.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Edouard Bernard (1985) and her second husband, Raymond Doucet (2011).
Ella worked at the fountain at the W. J. Kent store for many years and later at the Gloucester Hotel. She was known for her great culinary talent; she enjoyed a great joke and loved to laugh. She loved music and dancing especially at the legion on Saturday evenings, and was an avid bowler for many years. She was a member of the Herman J. Good VC Branch /18 of the Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her two daughters: Joanne Boucher (Edgar) of Bathurst, Gloria Bonnett (Richard) of 100 Mile House, B.C.
Her two sons: Jake (Debbie Stuber) of Pembroke, Ont. and Gary (Linda Boucher) of Bathurst, N.B.
9 grandchildren: Barry, Lisa, Wayne, Myra, Michelle, Angie, Kim, Charles and Julie.
14 great grandchildren: Dean, Mathieu, Marie-Josée, Felicia, Dylan, Ryan, Jessie, Richelle, Kathrina, Jeremy, Kianna, Justin, Joshua and Tristan.
3 great great grandchildren: Emily, Amber and Issabelle.
One brother, Manuel of Sarnia, Ont.
Four sisters: Marguerite Vienneau and Josephine Chamberlain both of Bathurst, Rose Boucher of Calgary, Alta, Connie Maynard (Jerry) of Red Deer, Alta.
Many nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel at 4:00 p.m. www.elhatton.com
