1915 -2013

Miramichi Road, N.B. - Mrs. Mildred Chamberlain, 98, wife of the late John Chamberlain, of Miramichi Road, passed away on Sunday (July 14, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Dunlop, she was the daughter of the late Leander and Martha (Haché) Hadley.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be sorely missed by her family.  She will be remembered for the great cooking, especially her molasses cookies.

She is survived by two daughters: Shirley Palocz (Eudore Allain) of Bathurst and Lorena Miller of Fredericton. 

Four sons Francis (Angela), Lee, Gordon (Jeannine) and Fred (Teena) all of Bathurst.

13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and besides her husband John, she was predeceased by a daughter, Ann; three brothers: John, Lee, Ryan and two sisters: Hilda and Ella.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (July 17, 2013) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Mildred may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a favorite charity.
