1927-2014

Bathurst - Ernest Roy, 86, formerly of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Augustus and Jane (Roy) Roy.

He worked in the woods for most of his life.

He is survived by one sister, Clara Chamberlain of Bathurst.

One step-sister, Gladys Chamberlain of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters: Gertrude, Irene, Germaine and two brothers: Walter and Augustus Jr. "Gussy" and several step-brothers and step-sisters.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Ernest may be made to a favorite charity.

The family would like to thank the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst for the care given over the last couple of years.
