1924 - 2014

Bathurst – Geraldine Goguen, 89, formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Saturday (May 24, 2014) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Cormier) Goguen.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by three sisters: Freda, Rhoda, Corinne, three brothers:  Wilfred, Henry and Camille.

She worked as a sales clerk, hairdresser and house keeper.

Gerry had a wonderful sense of humour and loved a good laugh.  She enjoyed crochet, cross stitch and her African Violets.  She loved children and animals, holding a special place in her heart for horses.  Summers were spent at Johnsons' Mills where she tended to her flowers while watching the rise and fall of the tides. 

Her niece wishes to express heart felt gratitude to the staff at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes who cared for Gerry with dignity & respect plus a little extra attention.  She appreciated all that was done for her and considered them family.  She was at home.

There will be no visitations or Funeral.  Burial will be in the Chartersville Cemetery, Dieppe.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
