Ida Doucet – 92, of Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Leo and Edith (Vienneau) Boucher.

She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family.  Dancing, knitting and playing card games with friends and family were some of her favorite hobbies.

She is survived by two daughters: Bonnie Young (Mike) and Lee-Anne Young (Clarence) both of Bathurst; two sons: Bill Young (Linda) and Richard Young both of Bathurst.

Seven grandchildren: Kezia, Jason, Dean, Melissa, Jessi, Matthew, Amy.

Seven great-grandchildren: Tanner, Ethan, Jayda, Reid, Hailey, Rohan, Keehan.

One sister: Jeannette Boucher of Bathurst; two brothers: Ludger and Lorenzo both of Chamberlain Settlement. She was also a step-mother to twelve other children.

She was predeceased by her two husbands: Emmanuel Young and Alban Doucet; two sisters: Aldrienne Gray and Agathe McLean and two brothers:  Archie and Richard Vienneau.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Ida may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
