1932 - 2014

Pokeshaw, N.B. - Mrs. Mabel Coombs, 82, wife of the late James Coombs of Pokeshaw, passed away at her residence on Monday October 6, 2014.

Born in Clifton, she was the daughter of the late Hibbert and Clara Anne (Scott) Breckenridge.

She is survived by eight children: James (Lillian), Ethel Mullin (Mark), Judith Chamberlain (Neil) and Jerry (Pierrette) all of Bathurst, Margaret Doucet and Clara Coombs (Donald Budge) both of Ottawa, Ont., Clifford (Lori Godin) of Moncton and Mark (Carrie) of Sussex.

Sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Four brothers: Charles Breckenridge (Beverly), Morley Breckenridge and Royale Breckenridge all of Clifton and Donald Breckenridge (Margaret) of Alberta.

Two sisters: Evelyn Coombs (Gerald) of North Tetagouche and Mary Matheson-Lorio (Joseph) of Ontario.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by five brothers and sisters: Ida, Percy, Emily, Hibbert and Grace.

The body will rest after 2 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton. com) Bathurst. 

Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday October 10, 2014, at 2 p.m. from Central United Church, Clifton. 

Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. 

Donations in memory of Mabel may be made to the Central United Church, the CNIB or a favorite charity.
