Gloucester Junction, N.B. - Mrs. Emily Viola (Ellis) Good, 90, wife of the late Thomas Good, past away with her family by her side, on Wednesday October 22, 2014, at her home in Gloucester Junction, following a brief illness.
Born in Salmon Beach, she was the daughter of the late William James and Lucy Melvina (Good) Ellis.
She is survived by four daughters: Carol Sealy (Murray) and Irene Pitre (Albany) both of Gloucester Junction, Glenda Cormier (Maurice) of South Tetagouche and Margaret Good (Albany) of Bathurst.
Nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
One brother, Lawrence Ellis (Irene) of Ontario; one brother-in-law, Jack Kirby of Ontario.
Many nieces and nephews.
One son-in-law, Hugh Smith.
Besides her husband, Emily was pre-deceased by a son Gordon; a daughter, Barbara; a grand-son, Todd; a granddaughter, Margaret-Lucy; 4 sisters: Esther, Gladys, Reta, Inez and 7 brothers: Walter, Alfred, Eldon, Gordon, Winston, Mervin and Ivan.
Emily was a farmer's wife all her life and was a member of the St. George's Organ Guild, Life member of the Nepisiguit Women's Institute. She loved life and cards and touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Thursday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 24, 2014, at 1 p.m. from St. George’s Anglican Church, King Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations in memory of Emily may be made to the St. George’s Organ Guild, St. George’s Anglican Church or a favourite charity.
