1929 - 2014

Bathurst – Stanislas "Stanley" Gauthier, 85, formerly of Beresford, passed away on Thursday October 23, 2014 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de- Lourdes, Bathurst.

Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Frederick and Bridgitte (Pitre) Gauthier.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator

Besides his wife, Florida (Pitre) Gauthier of St. Anne, Co. Glouc., he is survived by three sons: Edward (Yolande), Wayne and Stanley Jr. all of Ontario.

Four daughters: Anita Mackay (late Walter) of St. Anne, Co Glouc., Darlene (Alvida) Theriault of Paquetville, Christine (Vincent) Sullivan of Grande-Anse, Sharon Thibodeau of Caraquet.

Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

One brother, Eldon Gauthier of Bathurst.

Five sisters:  Alice Doucet (Frederick), Yvonne Picot (Aldore), Bertha Doucet (John), Martha Hudon and Beatrice Robichaud all of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by eight brothers and three sisters.

There will be no visitation at the funeral hom

A Memorial services will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. fro Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, St. George Str. Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Stanley may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer Society, to the Canadian Cancer Society of a favorite’s charity.
