Bathurst – It is with great sadness that we the family announce the death of Sinclair Morrison, 88, husband of the late Louise (Sealy) Morrison, formerly of Salmon Beach, passed away on Saturday November 15, 2014, at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst.
Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Walter and Sarah (Ward) Morrison.
He was a Veteran of World War II with the Royal Canadian Army and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Branch 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked at Atlantic Wholesalers for 44 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, bowling, shuffleboard and going up river.
He is survived by four children: Shirley Moulton (late William) of Fitchburg, Mass, U.S., Margaret Ann "Peggy" Morrison (Alvin Martin) of Saint-Louise-de-Kent, Alan Morrison (Cynthia) of Janeville and Walter "Wally" Morrison of Gillam, Man.
Seven grandchildren: Brenda, Sally, Tommy, Michael, Lynn, Derek, Carly and seven great-grandchildren: Scott, Jake, Emily, Brooke, Evan, Issac and Lance.
One brother, Leigh Morrison (Evelyn) of Bathurst.
Two sisters: Elsie Reid of Lancaster, Ont. and Ruby Clark of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers: Weldon, Earl, Harley and two sisters: Verna and Emily.
The body will rest at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, on Thursday, November 20, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday afternoon November 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
Donations in memory of Sinclair may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
