Belledune - Mrs. Alfreda Kealty, 77, wife of the late Joseph Kealty, of Belledune, passed away on Sunday (November 21, 2004) at the Dalhousie Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Guitard) Pitre. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Kealty. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by: Two daughters: Susan Firlotte (Harold) of Belledune Laura May Mathews of Laval, Que. One son: Joseph Kealty Jr. of Ottawa, ON Five grandchildren, Jennifer Williston, Laura Firlotte, Natalie Firlotte, Jean-Claude Savard, Jason Kealty; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Anne Marie Kealty; several brothers and sisters. The body is resting at St. John the Evangelist Church Parlour, Belledune. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (November 23, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. from St. John the Evangel Church, Belledune, with burial in the parish cemetery.
