Chamberlain Settlement, N.B. - Philippe Chamberlain, 70, passed away suddenly on Friday December 12, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late John and Eveline (Couture) Chamberlain.
He was retired from Brunswick Mines.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Denise (Duguay) Chamberlain in 2010.
"Captain Flipper" as he was known.
He is survived by one son, Francois (Linda) of Sarnia, Ont., and a daughter, Suzanne Hussey (Lloyd) of Bathurst.
Four grandchildren: Michel, Jake, Natacha, Isabelle and one great-granddaughter, Carly.
Six brothers: Jean-Yves of Toronto, Ont, David and Roger both of Bathurst, Frank of Longueuil, Que., Hubert of Montreal, Que. and Hector of Colorado, U.S.A.
Nine sisters: Suzanne of Moncton, Annette and Linda both of Toronto, Ont., Yvette of Saint John, N.B., Therese of Moncton, Claudette of Ottawa, Ont., Jeannine of Malbaie, Que., Elizabeth of St-Calixte, Que. and Marcella of Chateauguay, Que. Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters: Diane, Dorothy, Omer, Eileen, Hilda and Norman.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 9 a.m. Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst from where the Funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Donations in memory of Philippe may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity of the donors choice.
