1935 - 2014

Bathurst - Edmund (Eddie) T. Carroll passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital on December 21st, 2014 at the age of 79.

Born in East Bathurst, he was the son of the late Francis "Frank" and Florence (Payne) Carroll.

Eddie was happily married for 55 years to the love of his life, Hazel (Daley) Carroll of Janeville, N.B. 

He retired from a successful career as an automobile salesman in 1989.  Following retirement, Eddie enjoyed working in his flower gardens.  He was an active member of Saint George's Anglican Church and served as the Warden and Vestry member for many years.

Besides his wife, Eddie is survived by his two children: David (Gisele) and Kimberley "Kimm" (Moira McMahon) both of Bathurst, NB.

Four grandchildren:  Andrew Carroll of Bathurst, N.B., Allison Carroll of Charlottetown, P.E.I., Melanie Boudreau of Petit-Rocher, N.B., Patrick Boudreau of Greenwood, N.S.

Two great grandchildren: Audrey and Anthony.

One "grandpuppy":  Dobby (Kimm).

Several nieces and nephews.

Siblings:  Marjorie Ronalds (late Glendon) of Hamilton, Ont., and Robert (Phyllis) Carroll of Bathurst, N.B.

One sister-in-law, Barbara Carroll of Georgetown, P.E.I.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Herbert Carroll.

Visitation will be held at Elhatton's Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. from Saint George's Anglican Church, King Ave., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Eddie can be made to Saint George's Anglican Church, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor's choice.
