1944 – 2015
Pokeshaw, NB - Frank Riordon, 70, of Pokeshaw, passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Pokeshaw, he was the son of Eileen (Whelton) Riordon and the late Raymond Riordon.
He worked as a Federal Meat Inspector with Agriculture Canada for 30 years and also was a wood contractor.
Besides his mother of Bathurst and his wife, Dianne (Lavigne) Riordon, he is survived by three daughters: Dana Riordon (Justin Whelton) of Ottawa, ON, Kelly Riordon (John Whelton) of Pokeshaw and Kristy Riordon (Steve Bertin) of Allardville.
Four grandchildren, Brendan, Nicholas, Sydney and Joel.
One brother, Daniel Riordon (Ellen) of Wasaga Beach, ON. Three sisters: Elaine Knowles (Preston) of Clifton, Alma Cormier (Marc) of Beresford and Colleen Riordon of Bathurst. Three sisters-in-law: Sandra Riordon of Bathurst, Viola Riordon of Pokeshaw and Sue Riordon of Yarmouth, NS. Several nieces and nephews.
Also survived by sisters-in-law on the Lavigne side: Marjorie Boucher (Claude), Theresa Teek (Bob) and a brother-in-law, Ken Lavigne (Yvonne).
He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Ray, David and Terry.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. In memory of Frank, a donation may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Lung Association or a favorite charity.
