1922 – 2015

Bathurst – Mrs. Melinda Larocque, 92, wife of the late Henri Larocque, formerly of Princess Dr., Bathurst, passed away Sunday February 22, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Elizabeth (Lavigne) Couture.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by fives daughters: Simone Chiasson (Roger) of Middle River, Violet Lizot of Bathurst, Kathleen Larocque (David Butland) of Bai-Comeau, QC., Jeannine Larocque of Dunlop and Marjory Larocque of Brooklyn, ON.  Three sons:  Edmond (Lillian Gray) of Big River, Roger (Anne Asselin) of Beresford and Gary (Noriko) of Victoria, BC.

22 Grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son, Albert, great-grandson, Justin.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Melinda may be made to a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
