Bathurst - Mrs. Adeline Driscoll, 76, loving wife to Merlyn Driscoll, of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday March 8, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Regina (Carrier) Lavigne.
Besides her husband, she is survived by eleven children: Susan Devereaux (Maurice), Sally Maher (John) and Tracey Morgan all of Bathurst, Peggy Mazerolle (Barry) of Archibald, N.B., Merlyn Junior (Diane Steip-Garrison), Abraham (Danette) and Steven (Brenda Galloway) all of Brantford, Ont., Myrna Driscoll (Darryl Stever) of Scarborough, Ont., Kim Driscoll (late Warren Smith) of Ste-Anne's, Lisa Knowles (Thomas) of Saskatoon, Sask., and Kevin of Sault Ste Marie, Ont.
Step-daughter, Peggy Epsina (Emanuel) of St-Léonard, Que.
Known as "Nanny" to her 28 grandchildren and "Big Nanny" to her 18 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and four sisters: Alphonse Lavigne (Rachelle), Alphie Lavigne (Jacqueline), Valmond Lavigne (Claudette) and Lorraine Carrier (Leonard) all of Lorne, Emilia MacGregor (Raymond) of Jacquet River, Valerie Brimsacle (Bobby) of Sunnyside, N.B., Yvonne Hickey (Coleman) of Bathurst.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 3 brothers: Tommy, Angus, John and a sister, Leona Landry.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday March 13, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Adeline may be made to the Lung Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
