Bathurst - Mrs. Imelda McGilvery, 98, wife of the late Joseph McGilvery (1983), formerly of East Bathurst, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 29, 2015, at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst.
Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Godin) Landry.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She will be greatly missed by four sons: Ronald (Lorraine) of Sydney, N.S., Roderick (Irene) of Riverview, Rudy (Valerie) of Nackawic and Paul (Sherry) of Saint John.
Six daughters: Doris Houlihan (Mike) and Anita Allain (Ray) both of Fredericton, Theresa Lavigne (Brian) of Nackawic, Linda Lavoie (Gerard) of Gloucester Junction, Sandra McGilvery (Rene Doucet) and Helen McGilvery (Gail Godin) both of Bathurst.
23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by four sisters: Eva, Sister Jean de Paul, Sister Ida, Lina; four brothers: Arthur, John, Willie and Gerard.
Her greatest joy in life was her family at her side, making people laugh and a "Good" game of cards.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning March 31, 2015, at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Imelda may be made to the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Foundation or a favorite charity.
