1943 – 2015

Bathurst, N.B. – Larry MacNeil, 71, of St-Margaret’s Village, Cape Breton, N.S., passed away suddenly on Thursday April 16, 2015, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, N.B.

Born in St-Margaret’s Village Bay, Cape Breton, N.S., he was the son of the late John Alec and Elizabeth (MacNeil) MacNeil.

He worked as a carpenter for most of his life.

He is survived by one brother; Stuart MacNeil of Toronto, Ont.  Two sisters: Catherine Kingsley of Halifax, N.S. and Julia Weiss (Ed) of Swift Current, B.C. Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a brother, Cordel and a sister, Christena "Tena" Boucher.

A memorial mass will be celebrated in St-Margaret’s Church, St-Margaret's Village, Cape Breton, N.S., at 11 a.m. Friday April 24, 2015.
