1940 – 2015

Bathurst – William "Bill" Gallagher, 75, of   Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday August 5 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Bernard and Cecilia (Chamberlain) Gallagher

He was employed with Brunswick Mines for 32 years, retiring in 1997.  Bill enjoyed the outdoors both hunting and fishing.  He bowled for many years and joined curling after his retirement.  His children and grandchildren meant the world to him and he was a very devoted father and grandfather.

Besides his wife the former Claudette (Roberts), he is survived by:

One son:  Tony of Bathurst.

One daughter:  Tanya (Rickey Boudreau) of Bathurst.

Two Grandsons; Cory of Bathurst and Brandon of Calgary.

One brother:

David Legacy (Chriss) of Riverview.

He was pre-deceased by his step-father; Alex Legacy and brothers; Gregory and Jeremie "Jerry"

The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday August 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor`s choice.
