1935 – 2015

Bathurst - Maurice "Munn" Roy, 79, of Vincent St., Bathurst, passed away Wednesday August 12, 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Elias and Célèstine (Déschène) Roy.

He was an employee with the Federal Government until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Geralline "Zoon" (Johnson) Roy.

He is survived by his wife, Janet (O’Brian) Roy.

One daughter, Carole White (John) of Rose Hill, N.B.

One son, Gilles "Gil" Roy (Lisa) of Halifax.

Five stepchildren: Donna of Vancouver, Paul of Texas, Michael, Nathalie and Vicky all of Montréal.

One grandson, Niko.

Three sisters: Marielle Roy of Mont Joli, Que., Theresa McLaughlin and Jeannette Butler both of Toronto. Several nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by one brother, Conrad and four sisters: Lorraine, Estelle, Francine, Audrey.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning August 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. 

For those wishing to send expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
