1930 – 2015
Bathurst – Mrs. Cora Annie Dorothea Lindsay, 85, wife of the late Dave Lindsay, of Sunset Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Belledune, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Emma Jean (Miller) Ellis.
Cora leaves behind her two sons: Byron of Cornwall, P.E. and Stephen Lindsay of North Tetagouche.
Four grandchildren: Jason (Laura), Joshua (Amanda), Stephanie (Joshua Guest) and James (Mikaela Morgan).
One brother-in-law, Raymond Lindsay (Mary) of Dunlop.
Three sisters-in-law: Alice Ronalds of Port Hawkesbury, N.S., Helen Ellis of Bathurst and Lois Ellis of Belleville, Ont.
Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also an expectant great-grandmother of two babies due this fall.
As the last surviving member of her family, she was pre-deceased by five sisters: Margaret Jagoe, Bernice Hinton, Opal McCormick, Mary Lindsay, Betty Colpitts, and seven brothers: George, Raymond, Arthur, Norman, Charlie, Ron and Greg.
Cora’s family is very thankful for the loving care provided by "her girls" which allowed her to remain in her home until her recent hospitalization.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon October 10, 2015 from the First United Church, St. Patrick St. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
Donations in memory of Cora may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
