1941 – 2015

Stonehaven - Garry Knowles, 74, of Stonehaven, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Lyman and Ella (Smith) Knowles.

He worked as a fisherman for most of his life.

He is survived by his spouse, Joyce Blackett;

two children: Barclay (Christine Jones) of Janeville and Brenda (Arthur Fournier) of Bathurst; 

one grandson, Keithen;

five brothers and sisters: Shirley MacDonald (Arnold) of Ottawa, Ont., Donna Weatherly (Bob) of San Francisco, U.S., Jerry Knowles (Shirley) of Clifton, Darryl Knowles (Linda) of Janeville and Karen Knowles (Donald MacGregor) of Salmon Beach.  Several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Reese, Glynn and sister, Janice.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be held on Friday afternoon November 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.

Donation in memory of Garry may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU and Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the care given to Garry.
