Bathurst - Mrs. Sadie Rebecca Jamieson, 84, wife of the late George King Jamieson, of Bathurst passed away at her residence on Thursday January 21, 2016.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Ida (Smith) Smith.

Sadie was employed for 10 years as a nurse’s aide at the former Hotel Dieu Hospital in pediatrics and 17 years at the Chaleur Regional Hospital until her retirement.

She is survived by three children: Linda Wiseman of Bathurst, Kingsley (Iris) of Hamilton, Ont. and William R. (Sheila Peters) of Beresford.

Seven grandchildren: Matthew, Kyle, Emily, Ethan, Katrina, Jamie-Lynn, Christina-Lee; five great-grandchildren: Olivia, Jorja, Nathan, Sandrine, Madeleine.

One brother, Sidney Smith (Wanda) of Brampton, Ont.

Four sisters: Cora Smith of Salmon Beach, Eva Murphy of Clifton, Alice Neily (John) of Shubenacadie, N.S., Jessie Williston (Floyd) of Saint John, N.B. Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Trevor; three brothers: Norman, John, Carmen; two sisters: Eunice and Helen.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday January 24, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday morning January 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Sadie may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, the Extra Mural Program or a favorite charity.
