1945 - 2016

It is with great sadness, we the family, wish to announce the passing of Louis Lavigne, husband of  Mary Jane Lavigne of Archibald St., Bathurst, which occurred at his residence on Monday, June 20th, 2016, at the age of 70.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Frank and Violet (Luce) Lavigne,

Besides his wife, Louis is survived by three children: Lisa Lavigne-Fournier (Eric) of Dieppe, Carla Veneau (Andrew) of South Tetagouche, Kevin (Sophie Losier) of Bathurst, NB

Beloved grandfather to: Rebecca, Maigan, Mathieu, Katelyn, Justin and Emma.

He also leaves to mourn five brothers: Clifford (Elizabeth "Betty") Lavigne of Moncton, Harvey (Patsy) Lavigne, Howard (Jeanette) Lavigne, Tommy (Elaine) and Richard (Joan) Lavigne all of Bathurst.

Three sisters: Marjorie (late Clarence) D'Entremont, Prescilla (Edgar) Frenette both of Bathurst, Rose Marie "Rosie" (William "Bill") Douglas of Pickering, ON.

Also many nieces; nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was predeceased by infant sister, Audrey.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St., Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com) on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated from HolyFamilyChurch, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst on Friday, June 24th, 2016 at 4 p.m.
