It is with great sadness that, we the family wish to announce the sudden passing of Mr. Tony Soonkee Back, husband of Helen Youngsuk Kim of Carron Drive in Bathurst, which occurred on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 56.

Born in South Korea (Chungnam), he was the son of Chunhwa Goo and the late Nambin Back.

Tony was the owner and operator of  Jay’s Place convenience  store in Janeville, and the Parkview Superette Store in Jacquet River.

Besides his wife Helen Youngsuk Kim, he leaves to morn; his oldest daughter’ Jenia (Je-na-ya) JeSeon (Ji-sun) Back; and his youngest daughter, Sonia JeHye (G-ey) Back, both of Bathurst.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst, on Thursday, January 5, 2017 between 7 to 9 p.m., and from 9 a.m., on Friday, January 6, 2017 from the Elhatton Funeral Chapel from where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. In Honor of Tony Soonkee, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
