Bathurst - Roger Roy, 80, of Edgewood St., Bathurst, died Tuesday (February 22, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Theodore and Melinda (Benett) Roy.
He was one of the first three Letter Carriers in Bathurst and was with Canada Post for 28 years. Past member of the Bathurst CB Radio Club and senior bowler.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, the former Anita Canty, in January of this year.

He was pre-deceased by sisters, Edith, Anne; and a step-brother, Levi.
The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (February 25, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
