William Christie, 74, of Hillside Ave., Bathurst, died Saturday (March 5, 2005), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after short illness. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Cecilia (Hachey) Christie. He worked at the New Brunswick Community College, Bathurst, for over 20 years. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Besides his wife, the former Bertha Luce, he is survived by: Two sons: Raymond Christie (Edith) of Bathurst Roger Christie of Scarborough, ON One daughter: Rita Basque (Steven) of Scarborough, ON One brother: Daniel Christie (Gertrude), of St. Anne, Glou. Co. Two sisters: Stella LeClair (Jean Eudes), Nigadoo Alice LeClair (Gilles) of Centerville, ON Three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by two brothers Delphis, John and a sister, Emilia. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (March 7, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
