It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Fernand Joseph Emile Haché, 77, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on June 10, 2017.
Born in Grand Anse, NB, he was the son of the late Emile and Alexandra Haché.
He is survived by his three daughters: Christine Fournier (Omer), Paula Yarich (Denis Bouchard), and Rachelle Fox (Ron); loving grandchildren: Alexandra, Paulina, Jacob, Sarah, Summer, Jackson, Mitchell, and Jessie; and siblings: Isabelle Boudreault, Jean-Claude Haché, and Rose Marie Haché.
He was predeceased by his amazing wife of 53 years, Sarah (Eleanor) Haché.
He will be especially missed by his dear friend and neighbour, Marnie.
Père, as he was affectionately known to his grandchildren, was a humorous man who enjoyed nothing more than teasing his family senseless. An avid golfer and prankster, he spoiled his grandchildren with love, attention, and his homemade toast (with extra butter of course!). He instilled in them all an early fondness for "Scratch-o’s", puzzles, and an appreciation for treats – usually in the form of "Père cookies", homemade French fries, ice cream, and copious amounts of junk food.
The family would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the staff in the ICU unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Violette, and the wonderful nurses who helped him have a peaceful passing.
The family will be having a private gravesite internment at a later date.
