Bathurst ? Eric Ellis, 63, of Bridge St, Bathurst, died (April 7, 2005), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late George and Jessie (Hodgins) Ellis. He owned and operated for 41 years the former E.H. Ellis General Trucking and E.H. Ellis General Logging. He also worked as a fisherman. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, the former Irene Hachey. One son: Joey Ellis (Donna) of Bathurst Three grandchildren, Brian, Philip and Sara Faith. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Louis in 1970. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday (April 10, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from the Evangel Pentecostal Church, Basin St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Spruce Grove Union cemetery later in the spring. Visiting hours are Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
