Bathurst ? Chaleur Regional Hospital, on Saturday, May 28th 2005, at the age of 90 years and 10 days Thérèse Godin (nee Chiasson) has passed away. She was the wife of the late Alfred Godin (1975). Born in Petite Rivière de l'Ile, NB, on May 18th1915, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Chiasson (1977) and of the late Rita Vallée (1974) and the eldest of a family of 14 children (all born in Bathurst). She will be sadly missed by her seven children: George (Helen Young) of Bathurst, Laurent of Tremblay, (Claudette Bertin), Jeannette of Saint John, NB, Roger (Opale Arseneau) of Dunlop; Jean-Claude of Bathurst, Patricia (Donald St-Pierre) of Hamstead, NB and Alice of Alfred, ON. Several grand-children a few great-grand-children. One daughter-in-law: Corinne Lavigne of Bathurst and two sons-in law: Lino Pascon of Saint John, NB and Michel A. Gingras of Alfred,ON. Two sisters : Marie Anne (late Adrien Lavoie) of Bathurst, and Marie Marthe (late Albert Doucet) of Bathurst; four brothers: Laurent (1st m. - late Depazzie White, 2nd m. -late Violette Nini-Hondas) of Bathurst, Alfred (Anita Couture) of Bathurst, Denis (late Shirley Duclos) of Ontario et Arthur Chiasson (Vivian McAllister) of Saint John, NB. Four sisters-in-law: Théodora Robichaud (late Albert Chiasson) of Bathurst, Glenda Frenette (late Raymond Chiasson) of Bathurst; Yvonne Godin (1st m. - late Wilfred Morais, 2nd m - late Arnold Lodge) of Ontario and three brothers-in-law : Alban Godin (Éveline Doucet) of Bathurst, George Godin (late Marie Lagacy) of Bathurst and Gérard Godin (Géraldine Lagacy) of Bathurst And several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister: Anita (1916) and six brothers: Antonio (1918), Alphonse (1934), Aurèle (1935), Gérard (1937), Albert (1988) and Raymond (2002). The family will receive relatives and friends after 2:00 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. www.elhatton.com A mass of the Resurrection in thanksgiving of her life she shared with us will be sung on Tuesday, May 31st , 2005 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Rough Waters Drive in East Bathurst at 2 pm. Burial will be held at the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from noon till time of Funeral.
