Bathurst – Mrs. Barbara Hinton, wife of the late Douglas Hinton, of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday August 26, 2021, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 93.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Francis Irving and Gladys (Knowles)Scott.

Barbara was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary or the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed her days playing in the Legion Bowling league. She was also a member of the First United Church choir and the U.C.W.

She is survived by one sister, Ella Parkin (late John) of Moncton.

Nephews; Evan Scott of Janeville, Alan Scott of Fredericton and John Knowles of Alberta.

Nieces; Kathy Dunsten of Nova Scotia, Millis Haché of Miramichi and Joan Knowles of British Columbia.

She was predeceased by her Brother Edward Scott and sister Lois Knowles.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Highland View cemetery, Bathurst on Tuesday, August, 31st at 11 a.m.

Donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the First United Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
