It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the death of Shawn Michael Aubie of Bathurst, which occurred at home on October 31st, at the age of 41.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Lorraine (Arseneau) and the late Donald Aubie.

Along with his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Breanna, of Bathurst. His two sisters, Charlene (Reg) and Rachel, of Bathurst. Nephews Kyle and Brandon both of Bathurst, and his niece, Kelsie, of Halifax.

Shawn loved his family deeply and was extremely loyal to them. Next to his family, his loyalty rested with the Montreal Canadiens as a lifelong Habs fan.

Shawn will be remembered for his kindness in the face of adversity, and his joking demeanour. He was always ready to provide a laugh when needed, and his smile will be greatly missed.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday November 7, 2022, at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Shawn may be made to a charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
