Bathurst – Maynard Lavigne, husband of the late Jessie (Higgins) Lavigne, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at the age of 90.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late William T. and Elizabeth (Duclos) Lavigne.

He is survived by one daughter Doreen (Gary) Pitre of Saint John and one son Michael (Barbara) Lavigne of Bathurst.

One sister, Patrina (Werner) Hofmann of Montreal.

Two grandchildren: Shawn (Louise) and Matthew (Jodi) and four great-grandchildren: Joseph, Juliet, Addison and Oliver all from Saint John, NB.

He was predeceased by his brothers: David, Omer, Thomas, Elmer, Edgar, Alvin, Cletus, Norman and Tommy (in infancy) along with sisters: Gloria, Agnita, Marjorie and Robina.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com) on Friday, November 25th, 2022 at 2 p.m.

Donations in memory of Maynard may be made to the Bathurst SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
