Salmon Beach - Mrs. Rhoda Smith, wife of Percy Smith of Salmon Beach, passed away Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 85.

Born in Archibald Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late William & Laura (McAuley) Rosengren.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Nancy Bigelow (Grant) of Halifax, NS and David Smith (Jenna) of Cremona, AB.

Seven grandchildren: Raelyn, Treven, Hayden, Kaydence, Hayley, Kayhler and Kayllem.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters: Jean Smearer and Myrna MacIntosh and three brothers: Claude, John and George.

Rhoda worked at the former Kent Sales for many years.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, February 5th, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
