Rena Pitre wife of the late Richard Pitre passed away on May 14th, 2023 at her residence at the age of 81.

Born in South Bathurst, to the late Emery and Elizabeth (Godin) Lavigne, she leaves behind three children: Gary (Bonnie), Donna (Allen) and Darren.

Her pride and joy were here grandchildren and great grandchildren: Ashley (Jake), Richard, Samantha (Ricky), Jennifer Mensink (Declan), Emma Lavigne and more - in addition to their children: Blake, Blare, Charlie, Aubrey, Jayden, Jackson and more.

She leaves behind two brothers: Ronnie (Claudette) and Dorran (Bridgette). As well as three sisters: Sharron Garrett (Roger), Annette Spindler (Lovitt), and Claudette Duguay (Raymond). Rena was predeceased by 11 of her siblings.

She also has many nieces and nephews, and further extended family that she loved very much.

Per the family’s request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 24th, at 2 p.m. from Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Rena can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
