Kevin Augustus, beloved husband of Sheryl Pentland of Bathurst, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 24th, 2023 at home at the age of 55.

Born in St. Catharines, ON, he was the son of the late Rose-Marie Richardson (Haché) and Garnet Chater.

Kevin was a hardworking man who cared about those around him. If you were close to Kevin, he’d always have a special nickname picked out for you. He worked his entire life as a chef in many different types of restaurants. He took pride in his work and loved teaching those around him. He was a big music fan and spent a lot of his free time enjoying and searching for new songs by his favourite artists. You’d likely find him at work or at home spending time with his many friends enjoying a beer and cigarette. Although he was very tough and stern, he always had a big heart.

He is survived by his children: Nicholas Augustus (Jen) of Bathurst, Noah Augustus (Melinda) of Lindsay, ON and Angelica Gosnell (Cody) of Bathurst.

His three grandchildren: Jayce, Hazel and Christopher-Elliot.

Three siblings: Patricia Hazel of Saint John, Julie Zelany of Bathurst and George of St. Catherine’s, ON.

He will be sadly missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughters: Mary and Alice.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 1 pm Friday, June 30th until time of funeral at 2 p.m. at Elhatton Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com).
