Terrence (Terry) Neumann

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Terry Neumann on August 5 at home, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 78 years old.

Born in Val D’Or, he was the second son of the late George and Thelma (Huard) Neumann.

He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Yates (Allan) of Merrickville, ON; son Cory Neumann and daughter Dana Neumann, both of Fredericton, NB; granddaughters: Andrea Pfister (Glen), Laura Yates, Chelsea Neumann (Ian Bechard) and Heather Yates; great-granddaughter Kyra Pfister; brothers Steve Neumann (Maureen); Brian Neumann (Jo); Mike Neumann (Maureen); sisters: Marlene Desnoyers and Linda Cooke (Gord); Godchildren: Suzanne Neumann Schmutz (Alan) and Joey Godin (Robert Frenette); numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Colleen Doucet; their bond brought him joy and companionship during his later years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Brenda (MacKenzie) Neumann in 2016.

Terry sincerely wished to express his gratitude to his doctors Dr. Pierre O’Brien and Dr. Monique Larocque; the nurses on the Oncology Ward at the Chaleur Regional Hospital; and the Extra-Mural nurses who provided such wonderful care during his illness. His children would like to thank his many friends and neighbours that provided support throughout his final years.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday August 17th at 2 pm from Elhatton Funeral Chapel, St. George Street, Bathurst.
