Bathurst –It is with great sadness the family of Mrs. Yvette Hachey, wife of the late Roger Hachey, formerly of Centennial St., Bathurst, announce her passing which occurred suddenly and peacefully on Friday December 22, 2023, in Moncton, at the age of 77.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Phoebe (Mallet) Chiasson.

She is survived by two children: Renée Pitre (Josh), Kevin Hachey (Brandy Curtis) both of Moncton. 3 granddaughters: Taylor Pitre (Alexandre Mourant), Adrian & Casey Hachey.

Three brothers: Gilbert (Debbie), Cletus (Betty), Jarvis (Cathy) all of Bathurst.

Four sisters: Isabelle (late Gerald Roy) and Sylvia (Camille Daigle) both of Bathurst, Theresa (Edwin Sealy) of Woodstock, NB, Eva (late Mario Dugas) of Dieppe, NB.

Several nieces and nephews.

Beside her spouse and parents, she is predeceased by brothers: Stanley, Telesphore, Aurele “Bobby”, Albany, William “Billy”, Laurier “Red”, Jack, Robert “Rab”, James “Jimmy”; her sisters: Amy Frigault and Delia “Adele” Bertin.

Yvette was retired from the Chaleur Regional Hospital where she worked in the Human Resources Department for over 40 years. She loved her family to no end and was an avid animal lover. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo. She had a very generous and kind heart and often thought of others before herself. She was a very giving person and will be missed by many.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January, 3rd, 2024 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.
