Big River - Gerald Doucet, 48, of Big River, died accidentally on Saturday (October 4, 2003) on Rte 430, Big River. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Omer and Jeannette (Daigle) Doucet. He was the loving husband, step-father, son, brother, grand-father and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife Adeline (Jones) Doucet, his parents of Bathurst Two Daughters: Helen Henry (Isadore) of Bathurst Marlene 'Nenee' Irwin (Stephen) of Saint John, NB One adopted son: Michael Vienneau of Bathurst Three Brothers: Gilbert Doucet (Leah) of Bathurst Eugene Doucet (Linda) of Corunna, ON Jean Claude Doucet of Bathurst Three Sisters: Joyce Doucet of Bathurst Sandra Doucet (Mike Duguay) of Moncton Sonia Ertl (Peter) of Germany Three grandchildren; Kayla 'Pretty Girl' Irwin, Timothy 'Buddy' Henry and Jaclyn 'Pumkin' Irwin. Several nieces and nephews. Gerald was an avid sportsman and woodsman. He also enjoyed mechanics and carpentry. He will be sadly missed by everyone he knew. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m., from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst.
