Bathurst - Mrs. Ida Bertin, 74, wife of Aurele Bertin, of St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Laura (Pitre) Christie. Besides her husband, Aurele, she is survived by: Three sisters: Anita Mazerolle of Saint John, NB Annette Mazerolle (Lionel) of Miramichi, NB Sr. Emilie Christie, 'Filles de Jesus', Charlo, NB Two brothers: Leonard Christie (Eva) of Dieppe, NB Angus Christie (Claudine) of Ste-Marthe-Sur-le-Lac, Que. Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Irene, Lorraine, and a brother, Clifford. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (April 25, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral.
