Bathurst – We, the family, would like to announce the passing of our dear mother, Florence Bella Ross, wife of the late Howard David Ross, of Princess Drive, Bathurst, on Friday December 6th, 2024, at the age of 97.

Born in Trois Rivières, QC, she was the daughter of the late Eloi and Clarisse (Frenette) Roy.

She is survived by six children: Michael of Toronto, On, Glenna Hopkin (Barry), Lorraine Chamberlain (Robert), Bernie (Mary Jane), Paul (Gisele) and Karl Ross (Sylvie) all of Bathurst.

Nine Grand Children: Christine, Chantal, Jason, Deneen, Lisa, Sylvie, Kurtis, Kyleen and Cassandra.

Fifteen Great Grand Children: Camron, Ethan, Grace, Cailey, Hayley, Lily, Michaela, Cedric, Joève, Colin, Maya, Mia, Ezikaël, Lukas and Janika.

Numerous nieces and nephews and one brother Armand Roy

Besides her husband of 70 years and her parents, she was pre – deceased by one brother Arthur Roy, Four sisters: Geralda Ross, Irene Hachey, Jacqueline Roy and Claudette Roy Smith.

Mom enjoyed and excelled in baking, knitting, crocheting and many more crafts. She taught classes under a government program, for knitting, crocheting, tatting and petit point. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women’s League and was a Lionette.

The Family would like to thank Dre. Eve Maryse Boudreau, Dr Marc André Doucet and the Extra Mural Program for their much – appreciated services.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Holy Family Church on Thursday January 2, 2025, at 2 p.m.

Donations in memory of Florence may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
