Bathurst - Mrs. Dorina Roussel, 84, wife of the late Omer Roussel, of the Villa Chaleur, Bathurst, which occurred peacefully on Saturday (May 6, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Caraquet on July 5, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Josephine (Doiron) Chiasson. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League, U.C.T., Ladies Auxillary of the Knights of Columbus, Club 200 and the St. John Ambulance and was the recipient of the Governor Generals Service Medal. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Omer Roussel, in 1991. She is survived by: One son: Roger Roussel (Bonnie) of Edmonton, AB One sister: Finn Lavigne (Gerald) of Bathurst. Two grandchildren, Terry-Lynn and Blake, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two sisters, Yvonne Roberge and Roseann Curwin. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (May 9, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hour are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
