HAGLUND, De Lourdes, of St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, passed away peacefully, with courage and dignity, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on Monday (May 8, 2006), in her 97th year. Loving wife of the late Clarence Haglund. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of late Andrew and Rose Delima (Hachey) Hachey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by her son Jeff Haglund (Carol) of Barrie, ON Two daughters: Maureen McCrory of Westmount, Que. and Pauline Landry of Bathurst Daughter-in- law: Lois Carr Haglund of Bathurst Seven grandchildren, Michael McCrory, Kathryn McCrory Hoppin, Richard and Andrew Haglund, Diane Landry Boudreau, Marcel and Linda Landry She was pre-deceased by a son, John, a brother Armand and a son-in-law Dr. Thomas McCrory. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish and a long-time member of the Catholic Women's League, Bathurst. The family wish to thank her excellent and devoted caregivers - Victoria Doucet, Viola Doucet and Fay Sutherland. To her friends and neighbors, especially Barbara Garrett, for their kindness and compassion. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Robert White and to the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their outstanding and compassionate care. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhaton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday from the Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Levi Arseneau officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Family cemetery, Bathurst. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
