It is with broken hearts that, the family of John “Jack” Taylor Barr announce his passing which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born in Montréal, he was the son of the late John Taylor Barr and Cecilia (McKettrick) Barr.
He leaves behind his wife of almost 30 years, Joanne Patricia Kearsey, his brother-in-law Phillippe Couture, his niece Kristina Couture (Kevin Lebeau) and his great-nephew Kearsey Lebeau all of Beresford.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ronald and sister Sandra.
Jack worked for Termont Terminals in Montreal along side his best buddy, Andre LaChapelle, before retiring in Petit-Rocher, his little piece of heaven on earth.
There will be no service or visitation as per his wishes but please don’t hesitate to reach out with any stories or thoughts.
Anyone who knew Jack knew he loved hockey and football, but one of Jack’s favorite pass times was playing cribbage with his late father-in-law, John Kearsey. Surely, they are finally playing a long-awaited re-match in heaven and maybe Jack will even finally beat my father!
Donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’ choice.
Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford, NB.
