Lawrence Devereaux, 70, of Gosnell St., Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Wednesday (May17, 2006) at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington, ON. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Adelard and Delima (Hachey) Devereaux. He worked for McGinness Distillery in Toronto for 30 years before his retirement. Lawrence was a loving husband to Elizabeth (Huard) Devereaux, and is survived by: Four children: Monique Devereaux of Burlington, ON Hazel Scott (Doug) of Morriston, ON Darlene Michaud(Leon) of Whitby, ON and Steven Devereaux (Heather) of Sooke, BC Grandfather of Celina, Jasson, Andre, Francois, Jessica, Jeremy, Andre, Allana, Lyndsay, Bryce, Jordan, and great-grandchildren Evan and Destiny. Also survived by a brother, Patrick Devereaux (Marie) of Brampton, ON Two sisters: Claudia Devereaux of Alexandria, ON Veronica Pinnet of Brampton, ON Edna Nightingale (Ronald) of Cambridge, ON The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (May 23, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Bathurst.
