Bathurst - Clifford Huard, 86, of Bayshore Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (June 29, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Stever) Huard.
He served in World War II, with the Carleton York Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army, having served in England and the Italian Campaign until wounded in action in 1944. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was a former employee of Canada Post and the City of Bathurst.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Andrews) Huard.

Margaret Huard of Montreal, Que.
3 grandchildren; Debbie, Kim, Krista and 3 great-grandchildren; Jayden, Marcus and Nicholas.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by 3 brothers; Terrence, Raymond and Michael.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon (July 1, 2006) from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A Legion Service will be held following the Funeral Mass. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Robert L.
