The death of Mervyn Ellis, 76, of Salmon Beach N.B. occurred Monday November 24th at Moncton City Hospital following a brief illness after surgery. Born in Salmon Beach in 1927, he was the son of the late James and Lucy (Good) Ellis. He worked all his life farming, fishing and drove school bus for a number of years. Besides his parents he was predeceased by: His wife, Mora (Wood) Ellis in 2001 5 brothers - Walter, Alfred, Eldon, Gordon, and Winston 3 sisters ? Esther Scott, Gladys Branch and Inez Ellis He is survived by: 4 sons: Ernest (Violet) of Janeville NB. Earl (Jean) of Petersfield Manitoba. Gary (Emily) of Salmon Beach, NB. David (Linda) of Salmon Beach with whom he resided. 3 daughters: Rachel Craig (George) of Janeville, NB. Wilma Murphy (Daniel) of Black Rock, NB. Linda Smith (Ernie) of Salmon Beach, NB. 2 brothers: Ivan Ellis (Alda) of Canobie NB Lawrence Ellis (Irene) of Mississauga ON 2 sisters: Emily Good (Thomas) of Gloucester Junction NB Rita Kirby (John) of Vankleek Hill ON 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, St. George St., Bathurst Tuesday 7?9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel Thursday afternoon (November 27, 2003) at 3 pm. Internment at St Alban's Cemetery, Bridge St.
