Beresford - Gerard Doucet, 88, of Beresford, passed away on Monday (January 22, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late William and Imelda (Roy) Doucet.
He worked for the former Stone Consolidated Paper Mill, Bathurst and was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club. Served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army and was a member of the Legion Royale Canadienne de Petit-Rocher, #100 Chaleur.

He was pre-deceased by a son; Denis (1968), brother; Ernest, sisters; Pauline and Stella.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (January 26, 2007) from Eglise St. Nom de Jesus, Beresford, at a time to be announced. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral.
