Mrs. Mary Elsby Branch, 90, wife of the late Rudolph Branch, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (January 30, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Captain Alexander A. and Mary Ann (Thompson) Hains. She owned and operated her own hairdressing salon, until she married 1952 and became partner in the farm operation at Rudolph Branch Dairy. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rudolph Branch in 1978. She was the last member of her immediate family. She is survived by: One son: Robert Branch (Michelle) of Bathurst Two grandchildren; Anna and Alexander. Several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday afternoon (February 2, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst.
